We decided to wait to see Santa when my parents were in town for Christmas. It was Santa's last night at the Durham museum, so we headed down there right after Kyle was done with work.
We love seeing Santa at the Durham! It was beautiful and the Santa and Mrs. Clause were great. It was really busy, so Kyle waited in line, while we enjoyed the museum.
The girls enjoyed coloring, Ainsley was only interested in eating the crayons. The time passed quickly and the kids had a great time, then there was Santa.
We have always had a great picture with Santa- never a kid screaming, this year did not go so well. I had a feeling it would be that way. Ainsley is extremely social and will go to anyone, but when she met Santa at the squadron's Christmas party she freaked out. I was hoping putting her on Mrs. Clause would help, but I was wrong. Cambria just didn't want us to place her there- she wasn't really looking at Santa, she just wanted to do her own thing. I am sure if we had time to calm the kids down it may have worked, but we didn't want to hold the line up any more.
My mom did her best, but after Mrs. Clause insisted that she get in the picture this was the best we got. Oh well, it was a nice memory and overall a good night!
Gavin and Avalyn didn't mind at all. Gavin asked for a Nintendo DS with Harry Potter Lego game and Avalyn asked for her Lalaloopsy doll- Jewel Sparkle.
