Daddy's glasses

Kyle finally failed his vision test, not by much but the Air Force requires 20x20 in both eyes (he's 20x25 in one eye). We were shocked by the amount and style of the glasses he received for flying. He did get 1 normal pair of glasses (sorry no picture, Kyle only wears them when he flies). He received 6 pairs of his other glasses- these he is supposed to fly in. He got 3 pairs of dark glasses and 3 clear. They don't even fit his head- the order was incorrect. Seems like such a waste, 7 pairs of glasses (and they will not pay a dime for Cambria's glasses). Ainsley agreed to model them!
We look forward to donating these beauties when Kyle's out of the Air Force- we'll keep the normal ones.

This is something that SERIOUSLY frustrates me about the military... and I'm in shock {and annoyance for you} that they won't pay for Cambria's glasses. I'm so sorry!

yep Samantha! It's a bit annoying. She got her first pair at 12 weeks old and we were shocked when Tri-Care said they don't provide glasses "they are fore-seen" or something like that. I just wish they would help even a bit. Her glasses are around $350 each, she has to have the transition to protect her from the sun and the 2 year warranty that comes with them is a MUST for babies and toddlers. Wish we could trade a few pairs of Kyle's glasses for a discount on Cambria's. At least the eye surgery was FREE- they don't mind paying for that just not the glasses that could help! Oh well, it is what it is- at least I get to pick Cambria's out:)
