Dreams do come true- GAVIN!

On day 5 we were thrilled to surprise Gavin with something! After 2 Princess meals with Avalyn, it was his turn. We weren't sure if any of the Star Wars stuff would be open, since we knew the ride would be closed. I learned from a mom at the Cinderella breakfast that they had the Jedi Training open at Hollywood Studios- we just had to get there early for him to get a slot. He had no clue, Kyle and Grandpa took him early to Hollywood Studios. They road the Toy Story Ride and then went over to wait in line. They arrived 15 min. before the show started (45 min. was what was recommended), but after the kid in front of him had to back out (there was no room for his sister) Gavin got in the 1st show! This worked out perfectly, he had no clue what was coming and the rest of us arrived right before the show began!

Ready for Jedi training!
The training- the kids took it soooo seriously and the parents enjoyed the witty banter of the head Jedi. He was great, we were laughing and kept entertained while the kids did whatever he asked.

The head Jedi took the kids to the side, then the doors opened smoke came out along with 2 storm troopers and Darth Vader. By the look on Gavin's face, he was shocked. He had no idea that he would be fighting Darth Vader!

Gavin's Turn!

After defeating the dark side

He got his Jedi Diploma!!!

MEETING BUZZ!!!!
This was another dream. He had been asking if he could meet Buzz ALL week. It was the only character he asked to meet and we had no clue if it would happen. We had seen him in a few parades and we prepared him that that might be as close as he gets. We were about to leave Hollywood Studios for the day and we were standing in front of the Toy Story ride debating if we wanted to wait in the line, when I look over to the building on the other side and saw Buzz's feet. I pulled on Kyle and we showed the kids. We went straight into the line and enjoyed every minute of waiting to see Gavin meet his hero!!!
Waiting in line!
Gavin hugged Buzz as soon as he saw him! Gavin fell in love with Buzz right after Avalyn was born and he saw Toy Story. Up until that point he wasn't into tv or any movies and after seeing Toy Story he was hooked. He's had 3 Toy Story Birthday parties and was Buzz for Halloween for 3 years, he carried and love all his Buzz Toys for many years and still loves to play with them. Toy Story 3 was really exciting for him, he talked about it for an entire year before it came out. I have been wanting to bring him to Disney to see Buzz since he was 2 and this just about brought me to tears. Even after all the Star Wars stuff, this was his favorite moment of the week!!!

This was one of his favorite moments at Disney!
