Painting outside!

Thanks Holly for the recipe for sidewalk paint. Corn starch+water+food coloring= lot's of fun! The kids loved it, wish I would have had it earlier when the weather was warmer and they could be outside in their swim suits- but I am happy to say it washes out of clothes just fine.

Avalyn is our little artist. She loves it all, playing with colors and mediums. She was mixing side walk chalk in the side walk paint. It so cute- she will go outside whenever we let her (we don't have a fence) and almost always ends up laying on her tummy coloring the stones, baby dolls, and of course her favorite her own body.

Gavin's attention span for making art it pretty much as short as you can imagine- maybe a few minutes at a time. What's so funny about that is that Kyle has always been the same way. We always laugh when he brings projects home from Sunday school or preschool, they usually consist of one color, a line, one sticker (maybe he is just a minimalist). Kyle's mom did a wonderful job at saving Kyle's art from when he was little and it is the exact same thing. He did enjoy the sidewalk paint, especially since he is learning about mixing color at school.

This is how the project ended- of course by Avalyn and her desire to create messes.

By the time the kids were done outside and I was done with the dishes, little Cambria was sound asleep in her favorite place- her jumparoo.
